This is an on-site position (on-site minimally 4 days per week).

How you’ll make an impact:

This role will report to Edwards' Chief IP & Litigation Counsel and will support other Litigation Attorneys in all phases of litigation to protect Edwards’ interests.

  • Will work closely with in-house and outside counsel doing litigation case management tracking and docketing all litigation matters and investigations, updating legal summaries and maintaining case calendars.
  • Will assist with the investigation of facts and evidence related to a matters
  • Will conduct legal research, analyze laws, regulations, and legal articles to assist in the preparation of reports and case strategies.
  • Draft legal documents as requested.
  • Assist with discovery, including collection, review, and production of documents.
  • Communicating with clients, custodians, potential witnesses and respond to discovery requests.
  • Manage Litigation files, correspondence/documents, organize and maintain pleadings, case files.

What you’ll need (required):

  • American Bar Association (ABA) Paralegal certification and 7 years of related experience

OR

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience

Experience with systems and tools as it relates to legal

What else we look for (preferred):

  • American Bar Association (ABA) Paralegal certification
  • 5+ years of combination of litigation experience working in both a law firm and in-house.
  • Litigation experience working in the Lifesciences industry – medical device companies a plus.
  • Experience in patent litigation and antitrust
  • Case management, docketing, file retrieval from court system experience
  • Discovery experience; eDiscovery software experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of computer applications and litigation support systems including Windows 11, Adobe Acrobat, and Teams
  • Proven expertise using MS Office Suite with intermediate skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and legal software
  • Exhibits attention to detail and produces an accurate and high-quality work product.
  • Demonstrates strong ethics, ability to instill trust and to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills – oral and written.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of internal organization
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly collaborative team environment and manage competing priorities
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision; excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative skills

Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.

For California, the base pay range for this position is $90,000 to $127,000 (highly experienced).
