Ensure correct application of U.S. GAAP and accuracy, quality and compliance of the Company's financial reporting. Partner with Business Unit and Regional finance representatives to provide guidance on various areas of accounting as well as compliance with the Company's Global Policies.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Perform detailed analysis of account reconciliations (cash reconciliations, revenue reconciliations, prepaids, accruals, fixed assets and depreciation) to ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP as part of the overall accounting close process. Establish rationale and justification for required adjustments to ensure account balances are appropriately stated
- Prepare detailed fluctuation analysis for quarterly and annual audits for the purpose of presenting rationale and closing open issues with external auditors
- Provide support to business unit and regional finance teams on appropriate accounting areas in accordance with GAAP and company policy
- Identify accounting system deficiencies, recommend process improvements to provide timely, accurate and useful information to ensure accurate financial reporting, and partner with systems group to drive required changes
- Develop, maintain and update desk procedures documentation as processes change for efficiency
- Other duties as assigned by leadership
What you'll need (Required):
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business
- A minimum of three years (Or one year with a Masters) of accounting experience
What else we look for (Preferred):
- Public Accounting Firm experience
- Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license is a plus
- Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and related financial systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills
- Solid problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative skills
- Solid knowledge and understanding of Edwards policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to corporate accounting
- Solid knowledge of financial concepts and principles
- Expertise in own functional areas and general knowledge of other areas impacted within the business
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Strict attention to detail
- Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and representing the department on specific projects
- Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships

For Illinois (IL), the base pay range for this position is $66,000 to $94,000 (highly experienced).
