The Maintenance Helper ensures the working condition of manufacturing support equipment to support smooth and continuous operations.
The standard hours for this role are Monday-Friday 5:30am-2pm.
How you'll make an impact:
• Perform preventive maintenance on chairs and microscopes, as well as making repairs to microscopes; also perform preventive maintenance and sanitization of work benches and other large surfaces during shutdowns.
• Perform minor repairs to manufacturing tools, such as tweezers, scissors and probes.
• Document maintenance tasks, track labor hours and spare parts data in asset lifecycle system (e.g., Maximo).
• Re-configure racks to accommodate production volume shifts based on work orders to limit the number of work orders in process.
• On time arrival to work, regular attendance without excessive absenteeism, and working a full 8 hour or longer work period.
• Other incidental duties: General work area housekeeping, other duties as assigned by leadership.
What you'll need:
• Due to the specific duties of this job, you must be able to read, comprehend, write, and speak English.
What else we look for:
• H.S. Diploma or equivalent mechanical aptitude preferred
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to use computer applications to track and update work order status.
• Adhere to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to department clean room medical device manufacturing.
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision by following preventive maintenance instructions.
• Review, follow and perform job functions in compliance with established work instructions and adherence with SOPs.
• Work in a Team environment.
• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control.

For California, the base pay range for this position is $30,000 to $41,000 (highly experienced).
