Edwards Lifesciences is expanding its global technology capabilities with the launch of a new IT Innovation Hub in Pune, India. The Hub strengthens the technology foundation that supports our business worldwide, working in close partnership with teams across regions to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions at scale.

Designed as a long-term investment, the Pune Hub will advance newer digital capabilities such as automation, data, AI, and cloud, and will include roles spanning end user services, application development, and enterprise platform teams.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer who enjoys solving technical challenges, collaborating across teams, and building reliable mobile applications integrated with enterprise systems. If you're passionate about Android development and creating business-critical mobile solutions in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment, we'd love to hear from you.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Partner with business analysts, solution architects, and stakeholders to design and deliver mobile solutions that support warehousing, logistics, and supply chain operations.

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Android applications that are secure, reliable, and optimized for enterprise use.

  • Build and integrate mobile applications with enterprise platforms, APIs, cloud services, and backend systems.

  • Develop proof-of-concepts and innovative mobile capabilities, including barcode scanning, automation, notifications, and AI-enabled features.

  • Identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement reusable components and frameworks to improve application quality and development efficiency.

  • Support mobile application modernization initiatives, including platform upgrades, architecture improvements, and adoption of emerging technologies.

  • Follow and promote Android development best practices, coding standards, security requirements, and agile development methodologies.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, development standards, and deployment processes.

  • Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, security, and quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.

What you’ll need (Required):

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field.

  • 3+ years of Android application development experience.

  • Strong proficiency in Java.

  • Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and Gradle.

  • Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and mobile application architecture patterns

  • Experience with Git 

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What else we look for (Preferred):

  • Experience integrating with enterprise ERP, supply chain, warehousing, or logistics systems.

  • Experience with barcode scanning or Zebra Android devices.

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and mobile application security.

  • Experience working in regulated industries such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare.
