Join our Global Health and Community Impact team in deepening and amplifying Edwards Lifesciences and Edwards Lifesciences Foundation’s impact on underserved structural heart patients worldwide through the Every Heartbeat Matters (EHM) initiative.
How you’ll make an impact:
The Manager, Global Health will manage global EHM programs and partnerships to enhance the impact of foundation funding, medical technology donations, and employee engagement. Additionally, this role will focus on managing global employee engagement in the EHM Pro Bono Corps by translating partner needs into high-value, skills-based employee volunteer projects across regions, coordinating execution to strengthen partner impact and improve patient access to care.
1. EHM Program & Partner Management
- Manage the EHM partner community, ensuring alignment with goals, visibility, and progress across partners globally.
- Manage partner engagement and annual check-ins, maintaining visibility into partner activities, geographic reach, and areas of impact.
- Identify partner needs and coordinate alignment of resources (i.e. funding, technology, employee expertise) to support program execution.
- Support coordination across partners to enhance collaboration and contribute to expanded patient access to treatment.
2. Employee Engagement & Pro Bono Corps
- Manage the EHM Pro Bono Corps, a skills-based volunteer program that leverages employee expertise through targeted consulting engagements to strengthen partner capabilities and scale sustainable access to care for underserved structural heart patients, including:
- Two-week projects at partners’ global locations in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) (i.e. past projects located in Brazil, Belize, Costa Rica, India, Rwanda)
- Multi-hour workshops at Edwards sites around the world
- Longer-term virtual pro-bono support
- Support the development of high-impact engagements by aligning partner needs with employee expertise.
- Manage the end-to-end execution of pro bono projects, including coordination, onsite delivery, in-country logistics (i.e. air travel, lodging, meals/events, on the ground transportation, managing stakeholder meetings, securing translators).
3. Global Convenings, Partner & EHM Patient Engagement
- Plan and execute the annual EHM Partner Summit, including agenda development, speaker coordination, logistics, and post-event follow-up to drive continued engagement and action.
- Manage quarterly partner calls, setting clear objectives, shaping content, and ensuring strong follow-through on key actions and commitments.
- Facilitate ongoing communication and knowledge sharing across the EHM partner network, helping connect partners, surface best practices, and strengthen collaboration.
- Manage EHM patient engagement across global initiatives, including identifying patients, coordinating logistics, and ensuring a meaningful, respectful experience that reflects the patient journey and impact of our partners’ global health work.
4. Program Management and Operational Excellence
- Project manage EHM initiatives ensuring alignment with established priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date EHM documentation and systems, including funding agreements, partner records, project plans, and tracking tools.
- Track partner activities.
What you’ll need (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in related field with 8 years of experience in global health, international development, or a related field, or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria
What else we look for (Preferred)
- Experience with NGOs, global health organizations, or development institutions strongly preferred.
- Proven experience managing complex global programs, including logistics, across multiple geographies, ideally in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
- Experience working with non-profit/NGO partners and collaborating across sectors (non-profit, healthcare, private sector) in low-resource environments.
- Demonstrated ability to build and/or improve processes, systems, and tools, with strong analytical skills to monitor and interpret program performance.
- Experience in health systems or clinical program delivery; exposure to cardiovascular programs is a plus.
Working Conditions / Travel
- Up to 25% domestic and global travel (up to two weeks for EHM Pro Bono Corps)
- Ability to support evening/weekend initiatives.
Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.
For California, the base pay range for this position is $105,000 - $148,000 (highly experienced).
