We are looking for an IT Hardware Support Specialist to provide on-site support for computing devices to end users across the organization. Key tasks include configuring and managing workstations, laptops, and peripherals, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, and coordinating with vendors. The role also involves user training, managing service requests, and supporting mobile devices. You will also provide on-site IT related Hardware support to assist in the installation, integration and maintenance of computing devices.


How you will make an impact:

• Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, and peripherals (Tier 2/3)
• Configure and deploy workstations, laptops, and peripherals following defined imaging processes
• Provide daily support (moves, adds, changes) for end-user devices and IT equipment (e.g., VOIP, A/V)
• Support lifecycle planning, upgrades, and IT projects involving technicians/technologists
• Deliver user training on hardware, software, and systems (one-on-one or small group, hands-on)
• Install and set up end-user devices and related IT equipment
• Develop and maintain imaging and deployment processes aligned with global standards
• Coordinate with third-party vendors (orders, warranties, projects, vendor management)
• Support mobile and tablet solutions aligned with business and global IT requirements
• Define and audit asset management tools and processes (physical and electronic)
• Manage and prioritize service requests and incidents, ensuring accurate ticket updates
• Ensure cost visibility for service requests and compliance with approval processes
• Manage IT assets, including tracking, identification, and control
• Provide help desk support as needed
• Execute lifecycle upgrades and assigned IT projects

What you will need (Required):

• Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent professional experience

• 2–4 years of experience in desktop support or technical help desk roles

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong focus on customer service

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

• Office presence in Mississauga, where our office is located

• English proficiency is a must, French is a plus

What else we look for (Preferred):

• Proficiency in Active Directory for user and device management

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments (Windows OS, Office, Outlook/Office 365)

• Experience diagnosing and repairing IT hardware and software (end-user devices and peripherals)

• Familiarity with Cisco IP Phones configuration and support

• Ability to deploy and redeploy devices using standardized imaging processes

• Experience with VPN and authentication tools (e.g., MobilePASS)

• Proficiency with help desk ticketing systems and service request management

• Solid cable management and workspace organization skills

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities

• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with users and vendors

• Effective organization and time management skills

• Knowledge of IT asset handling and workplace safety standards

Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families. 

For Canada, the base pay range for this position is $55,000 - $78,000 CAD $  (highly experienced). The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
