How you’ll make an impact:
 

Global Internal Audit (GIA) at Edwards is a global organizational partner that provides objective assurance over enterprise-wide processes and a change agent through our strategic risk-based audit approach.


As a Senior Manager, GIA, you will lead the EMEA team within GIA and work closely with the GIA team globally and other stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of the business and provide objective assurance over enterprise-wide processes. You will be a change agent, working with management to identify opportunities for improvement and driving change within the organization!

Your work will be crucial in ensuring that Edwards remains compliant with regulatory requirements and best practices, while also improving operational efficiency and reducing risk. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, gaining exposure to a wide range of business processes and practices. Moreover, working in MedTech industry, your work will have a direct impact on the lives of patients around the world!

  • Lead and execute risk based operational and financial complex assurance reviews, as well as contribute to the SOX Compliance program, partner with external auditors in both ICFR/SOX and statutory audit capacity (50 %)
  • Communicate audit results, influencing management action plans, and building/strengthening relationships with regional management, benchmark data and knowledge from audit best practices (20 %)
  • Manage annual risk assessment by distilling industry risk trends, and collaboration with management to prepare upcoming year’s audit plan (10 %)
  • Deal with ambiguity and engage with functional/regional business leaders across EMEA to monitor and timely address emerging risks within the region via consultative risk based work on management and external audit requests (10 %)
  • Provide technical guidance to employees and business partners, as well as development input to direct reports in line with department goals. (10 %).

What you'll need (Required):

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field (e.g., Finance, Accounting) with 7+ years of previous related experience required; Master’s degree or equivalent related field with 8+ years of experience preferred
  • Experience in healthcare/MedTech industry, manufacturing, or other relevant sectors.
  • Fluent English, knowledge of other European language is an advantage.


What else we look for (Preferred):

  • Proven successful project management leadership skills;
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills incl. negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive the achievement of objectives
  • Proven track record of coaching and developing a team, managing departmental performance goals, development plan, and delivering performance evaluations.
  • Public accounting experience (e.g., Big Four) preferred; completed (or actively pursuing) relevant certifications preferred (e.g., ACCA, CIA)
  • Substantial understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
  • International travel up to 15-25% Trips are typically up to two weeks in length
