TAVI for Moderate Aortic Stenosis with at-risk features: Results of The PROGRESS Trial*
In The PROGRESS Trial, as presented at TCT 2026 and published simultaneously in The New England Journal of Medicine, authors concluded that among patients with moderate aortic stenosis (AS) and at-risk features, a strategy of TAVI was superior to clinical surveillance in reducing the composite end point of death or heart failure event with or without hospitalization at 2 years.
The PROGRESS Trial is an international multicenter, prospective, open-label, randomized trial evaluating treatment approaches with TAVI compared with clinical surveillance in patients with moderate AS and at-risk features.
