We are seeking partnership with charitable organizations that have a specific expertise in increasing access to treatment for structural heart patients around the world facing barriers that meet our organizational status requirements. Our support includes donations from Edwards Foundation up to $300,000 per year, donations of Edwards technologies for humanitarian treatment, employee pro bono expertise, and connections to the EHM community of partners.

Overview

Our funding focuses on support of the following types of programs, with preference given to partners that support underserved structural heart patients in multiple ways:

Detection:

  • Screening to detect structural heart disease
  • Clinical education on structural heart disease detection

Treatment:

  • Structural heart disease treatment
  • Clinical education on structural heart disease treatment

Strengthen:

  • Strengthening organizational capabilities to scale patient impact

Detection

Detection of structural heart disease is the first step to understanding the burden of the disease and improving patient lives, giving them the opportunity to thrive. That’s why Every Heartbeat Matters supports programs that increase access to detection of structural heart disease:

Treatment

Too many lives are lost due to structural heart disease when resources and treatment options are scarce. Every Heartbeat Matters supports programs that help underserved patients receive the structural heart care they need including:

  1. Structural heart disease treatment:
    • Medical treatment
    • Technology donations
    • Wrap-around services that support care (such as transportation and case management programs)
  2. Clinical education on structural heart disease treatment

Strengthening Capabilities

Strengthening partner capabilities is core to ensuring sustained, scalable treatment initiatives.


Program guidelines:

  • Strengthening organizational capabilities to enable increased access to treatment for structural heart patients facing barriers

Reporting requirements:

  • Number of underserved structural heart patients impacted by initiative
