Supervisor II, Mold Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the mold maintenance team, ensuring timely and effective maintenance, repair, and optimization of injection molds and tooling equipment. Supervise employees and activities across areas of Molding for smooth and continuous operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure appropriate staffing for all positions and staff are appropriately trained to perform assigned work. Accountable for productivity and quality metrics of staff and provide regular progress reports and Molding Service metrics; provide solutions for improvement to management and cross-functional stakeholders.
Supervise employees and molding activities pertaining to molding plastic products, applying knowledge of molding machine setup operating techniques and production machining methods. Approve and optimize all materials and techniques used in the maintenance and repair of all molds on site.
Oversee Mold Preventive Maintenance schedules, work orders, and assign duties to according to order priorities and team performance metrics. Ensure best industry standard methods and tools are identified and implemented to minimize mold wear, minimum changeover and downtime.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex mold issues to minimize downtime and scrap.
Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables required for mold maintenance.
Lead improvement projects, partner with engineering on molding components and mold defects investigations and/or corrective actions, perform non-conformance investigations for review with engineering, assure documentation content is valid.
Oversee preventive maintenance activities related to the Injection Molding Machines and Peripheral equipment.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support new mold trials and process improvements.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering Field, required.
Technical Certification Tool and Die Maker, preferred.
Five (5) years’ experience in mold maintenance, with at least two (2) years in a supervisor role.
Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, tooling design, and mold repair techniques.
Proficient in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and using precision measurements tools.
Excellent leadership, communications, and problem-solving skills.
Additional Skills:
Experience leading multi-cultural teams with cultural sensitivity.
Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite with working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, preferably JDE.
Ensure proper handling, storage and disposal of all waste generated in the facility according to applicable laws within the waste management program (RCRA). Prepare regulatory and/or internal reports, complete waste determinations, sign waste manifests and coordinate proper training sessions to affected personnel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills; possessing strong collaboration skills in partnering with cross functional stakeholders in order to achieve objectives, as well as mediating differences to achieve consensus.
Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control.
