This role is an onsite role based at our corporate headquarters in Irvine, California.

How you’ll make an impact:

The Senior Manager will manage a team that develops solutions for complex US business commercial contracting and customer needs and effectively translate into sales agreements including managing sales related projects and/or initiatives.

  • Develop relationships and negotiate with healthcare administrators and other healthcare professionals of individual hospitals, integrated delivery networks, group purchasing organizations, distributors, and government facilities to finalize terms and conditions for complex US sales and distribution agreements, compliance documents while achieving business objectives and anticipating future needs.
  • Anticipate and lead the identification, evaluation, and planning of commercial sales contract strategies and lead the implementation of such strategies to drive improvements and increase significant revenue opportunities through commercial sales contracts and pricing strategies in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and National Accounts leadership to achieve business unit goals.
  • Manage and oversee the work of small team(s) and may indirectly manage cross functional or matrix teams as appropriate. Develop a robust talent development plan in alignment with functional growth strategies of the department.
  • Develop and plan commercial contracting projects and activities with accountability for successful completion of all project deliverables including leading and managing contracting lifecycle authoring system (e.g., ECLM) for sales contracting.
  • Provide guidance, educate, and train internal stakeholders (including sales and operations teams) regarding complex commercial sales contracts strategies, policies and systems).

What you’ll need (required):

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and related experience in contract or bid management
  • Demonstrated track record in people management

What else we look for (preferred):

  • JD or Paralegal certificate
  • Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts for the sale of medical products
  • Proven successful leadership skills
  • Proven expertise in MS Office Suite (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in Contract Lifecycle Management CLM systems and BI tools preferred (i.e. Tableau, Qlik)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Expert knowledge of business acumen as it relates to sales
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of contract language
  • Demonstrated ability to manage assigned team and provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations
  • Ability to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate the value of contract or bid management to the business
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
  • Ability to work and excel within a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment
  • Frequently interacts with customers, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company; often leads a cooperative effort among members of a project team
  • Participate and present at meetings with internal and external representatives
  • Resolve operational and scheduling issues
  • Develop peer, cross functional and cross business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness.
  • Develop relationships and leverage them to influence change
  • Support and solicit input from team members at all levels within the organization
  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $118,000 to $167,000 (highly experienced).
