- The role also supports Research and Development teams by providing laboratory-based support as an ‘expert-user’ of various 3D printing platforms - maintaining and operating printers to help define optimum settings for new materials.

- Draw accurate conclusions from test data, malfunctions, or deviations, and implement corrections to the existing design or process.

- Utilize build preparation software to orient and properly support parts to be printed. Optimize print settings by working with Additive Manufacturing (AM) Engineer.

- Manage facility workflow to maximize resources and ensure job delivery on time, with full commitment to quality and safety.

- Proactively maintain inventory of spare parts, supplies & consumables for printing machines.

- Contribute to 3D printing projects through print execution and test program support. Handle and modify incoming part design CAD files and solve potential issues using Design for AM (DfAM) guidelines.

- Maintain accurate records and logs as required. Write summary reports and prepare presentations.

- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of printing equipment and tooling, including preventive maintenance and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and work area.

- Build complex prototypes, sub-assemblies, and prepare feasibility test units, samples, and/or chemical solutions. May build prototypes for physician demonstration.

- Design and build simple fixtures, using sketches, CAD software, etc.

- Train, coach, and guide lower level employees on new procedures, assess work techniques and provide feedback to engineers on procedures

- Other duties as assigned.
