A heartfelt thanks for always going above and beyond
Even before COVID-19, critical care nurses like you deserved thanks for your extraordinary efforts to care for our loved ones. Your attention and dedication to patient care continues to make a difference in patients’ lives.
While words alone cannot express our gratitude for your work during this ongoing pandemic, we look forward to saying “thank you” in person at this year’s National Teaching Institute (NTI) and Critical Care Exposition.
This year's can't-miss events
Join us in person to meet and hear from critical care experts during clinician-led education sessions. Then, test your hemodynamic trivia skills to see if you can top the leaderboard. Plus, take advantage of educational resources and explore the latest updates in advanced monitoring — so that you can stay ahead of critical moments.

Sunrise session
The Great Debate - Hemodynamic Trivia with the Experts
Tuesday, May 17, 7:00-8:30 a.m. CT
Description
Join us for this fast-paced, interactive educational discussion. Hear from three critical care educational specialists as they debate important topics in the ICU, including blood pressure management, vasopressor administration, passive leg raise maneuvers, pulmonary artery catheter utilization and shock differentiation. After each provides their position, the audience will select who best presented their topic. Come prepared to have fun and learn about cardiopulmonary physiology.
Objectives
- Describe at least one learned clinical concept for the assessment and management of patients in shock
- Identify advanced parameters nurses can assess for the effectiveness of vasopressors and inotropes

Advanced hemodynamic monitoring solutions
While you're at NTI, chat with the Edwards team to see how our advanced monitoring solutions - all available on HemoSphere monitor - can help you support critically ill patients.

Acumen Hypotension Prediction Index (HPI) software
Unlocked by Acumen IQ sensor, Acumen HPI software is a first-of-its-kind technology that detects the likelihood of a patient trending towards hypotension.

Acumen IQ sensor
Acumen IQ sensor unlocks Acumen HPI software. The system automatically updates advanced parameters every 20 seconds.

ClearSight system
ClearSight system provides continuous blood pressure and advanced hemodynamic parameters from a noninvasive finger cuff. Continuous data offered by ClearSight system enables you to proactively optimize perfusion through hemodynamic management.

Viewfinder remote app
Viewfinder remote app can improve your clinical workflow by enabling remote access to noninvasive data from connected HemoSphere monitors. Continuously view the same insights you would see at your patient's bedside, all from the palm of your hand — noninvasive arterial waveform, historical trend data, alarms, alerts and more.

Swan-Ganz catheter
The Swan-Ganz advanced technology pulmonary artery catheters enable continuous assessment of flow, pressure, and oxygen delivery and consumption, so you have an uninterrupted view of cardiac function for proactive decision support in your most complex patients.

ForeSight tissue oximetry sensor
ForeSight sensor delivers absolute StO2 values that - when used in combination with the full hemodynamic insights delivered by HemoSphere advanced monitoring platform – enable you to confidently recognize and address cerebral desaturations.
