Our guide to Cardiac Valve and Aortic Root Procedures in the 2017/18 National Tariff Payment System explains the clinical coding required for correct reimbursement under the new HRG4+ . HRG4+ is the new currency design to present prices for NHS England patient treatments from April 2017.

The supplementary lists give details of complications and co-morbidities relevant to TAVI and valve surgery under HRG4+ and also lists other cardiac procedures that, when present in an admission, uplift valve surgery and aortic root repair from “Standard” to “Complex” HRGs
