Ability Found “Assistive Equipment Purchase Program” ($10,000) Funds will purchase medical and rehabilitation equipment that help individuals in Utah with a wide range of medical handicaps and disabilities become independent.

Anaheim Interfaith Shelter “Halcyon Child Development Center & Anaheim Interfaith Shelter” ($10,000) Funds will support a nine-month transitional housing program where Orange County residents focus on debt repayment, budgeting, and a savings plan with the goal of helping families build life skills that will assist them in obtaining and maintaining permanent, adequate housing.
Angel Flight West “Wings Over Southern California” ($5,000) Funds will be used to expand Angel Flight West’s capacity to serve residents and healthcare providers with free air transportation in response to healthcare and other needs in Southern California.
Assistance League of Inland North County “Operation School Bell” ($5,000) Funds will support Operation School Bell, a program that provides clothes to underprivileged children going to school in the Inland Empire and Camp Pendleton, California.
Boy Scouts of America “2009 Distinguished Citizen Awards” ($1,500) Funds will sponsor the Boy Scouts’ annual award reception benefiting scouts and volunteers in the Jersey Shore area of New Jersey.
Boy Scouts of America, Orange County Council “At-Promise Youth Program” ($5,000) Funds will support a program that educates participating youth in Orange County on the destructive consequences of gangs, drugs, and other risky behaviors.
Boys and Girls Clubs of Anaheim “Motel Outreach” ($2,500) This grant will enable at-risk homeless children sheltered in hotels and low-income housing access to services and youth development programs at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Anaheim, California offering the hope of a positive future outside of poverty.
Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake “SMART Moves” ($2,500) Funds will help support SMART (Skills Mastery and Resistance Training) Moves, a program that helps young people in Salt Lake City, Utah resist alcohol, tobacco and other drugs by addressing the critical needs among youth, such as basic life and social skills, conflict resolution, health, fitness and self-esteem.
California Society for Biomedical Research “Elementary Student Life-Sciences Activity Book” ($8,500) This grant will support the development and publication of a curriculum resource piece specifically structured for elementary students in California that introduces science and research topics.
Camp del Corazon “Summer Camp Program” ($15,000) This grant will help to support Camp del Corazon's annual summer camping programs, which are offered free-of-charge to children in the U.S. and Canada ages seven to 17 with cardiovascular disease.

Centro de Ayuda y Terapia al Niño con Impedimento “A Healthy Smile Will Bring A Healthy Heart” ($15,000) This grant will support a continuing project in Puerto Rico's rural communities to provide treatment of periodontal diseases in children and young adults.
CEO Roundtable on Cancer ($5,000) This grant will support a national forum that brings together key cancer leaders throughout the United States to collaborate to help eliminate cancer.

Children's Health Initiative of Orange County “Enrollment and Retention for Comprehensive Healthcare Insurance for Irvine Children” ($5,000) This grant will pay for Healthy Kids health insurance, providing access to medical, dental and vision care for low-income uninsured children in Irvine.
CHOC Foundation “CHOC Children's Cardiology Obesity and Lipid Clinic” ($10,000) This grant will help provide cardiac specialty care, individualized treatment plans and early intervention, curbing the impact of life- threatening cardiac illnesses associated with obesity in children and adolescents in Orange County.
CHOC Foundation “Jade Room Glass Slipper Guild” ($500) Funds will sponsor the CHOC Jade Room Glass Slipper Guild’s annual fundraiser benefiting the Children's Neuroscience Institute.

Cornerstone Schools of Washington, D.C. “Cornerstone Partner Program” ($4,000) This grant will provide tuition assistance for economically disadvantaged children in Washington, D.C., helping to instill a lifelong joy of learning by equipping them with the knowledge, skills and values necessary to become leaders.
Deborah Hospital Foundation – Puerto Rico Chapter “Exercises To Well Being” ($15,000) Funds will support the foundation's objective to have an alternative for cardiovascular disease patients in Puerto Rico who are in need of specialized diagnostic studies and open-heart surgery.
Discovery Science Center “Science to Go” ($7,500) Funds will help underwrite the cost of a program for Orange County students in 5th grade through high school to learn about the human heart.
Down Syndrome Association of Orange County “An Investment in Good Health” ($5,000) Funds will be utilized to support the operation of a pediatric down syndrome program at Children's Hospital of Orange County, which will include a weekly outpatient clinic.
El Viento Foundation “Giving Flight to the Youth of Oak View Community” ($6,000) This grant will help provide after-school tutoring, college preparation and enrichment programs to underprivileged Hispanic youth in central Orange County.
Families Forward “Transitional Housing Program” ($10,000) Funds will be used to help provide life skills, counseling, career coaching as well as child care expenses for homeless to low-income families in south Orange County.

Fundación Dr. García Rinaldi “Community Screening Clinics” ($5,000) Funds will be used to expand awareness of cardiovascular disease through public screening clinics in Puerto Rico.

Girl Scout Council of Orange County “Girl Scout Leadership and Self Development Outreach Programs: Comadres en Accion” ($5,000) This grant will help provide Girl Scouting to girls in Santa Ana, California who come from low-income families by offering education, personal development and fun activities that encompass leadership development and other skills.
Giving Children Hope “We've Got Your Back” ($15,000) Funds will provide support for the continuation of a nutritional outreach program for elementary students in the Orange County school districts who have been identified as homeless.
Golden West College Foundation “Expanded Nursing Program" ($15,000) Funds will keep Orange County students current in the newest methods in healthcare by enrolling, educating and graduating new nurses.
Goodwill Industries of Orange County “Assistive Technology Exchange Center Children’s Services” ($15,000) Funds will provide tools and training to enable children in Orange County with disabilities to communicate and learn basic skills such as reading, writing and math in order to prepare them for continued education and careers later in life.
Habitat for Humanity of Orange County “Westminster 2” ($10,000) Funding will support construction of two homes in Westminster, California that will provide decent, affordable living for hard working, low- income families.
Human Options “Children's Counseling Program” ($7,500) This grant will support therapeutic interventions for young victims of domestic violence and weekly parenting classes for families in Orange County.
Irvine Adult Day Health Services “Enhanced Therapies Program” ($5,000) Funding will support the “Enhanced Therapies Program,” designed to improve the health, independence and well-being of at-risk frail, elderly and disabled adults in Irvine, California who would otherwise not have the means to participate in the center's programs.
Irvine Children's Fund “Before and After School Child Care Scholarship Program” ($5,000) This grant will provide scholarships at 22 Irvine, California schools for children in K - 6th grade of low-income working families, so that they can access safe and affordable childcare.
Irvine Valley College Foundation “Annual Astounding Inventions” ($500) These funds will support the Foundation's 22nd Annual Astounding Inventions competition for its students in Irvine, California.
Isle Go Missions “Caribbean Opportunity” ($500) Funds will be used to help build a home for a poverty-stricken family of four in Jamaica.

Kids of Kilimanjaro “Monduli School Lunch Program” ($500) This grant will provide school lunches for underprivileged children in Monduli, Tanzania.

Laura's House “Domestic Violence Emergency Shelter and Support Services Program” ($10,000) Funds will help provide 24-hour hotline/crisis intervention including food, clothing and life-skills training to Orange County women and their children who are fleeing family violence.
Make-A-Wish Foundation of Orange County and the Inland Empire “Wish Granting” ($7,500) Funds will allow wishes to be granted for children in Orange County and the Inland Empire with life-threatening cardiac illnesses, to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

MIND Research “Orange County Math Initiative” ($15,000) Funds will support a five-year initiative that addresses the underachievement of 164 schools in 20 different school districts throughout Orange County, which score in the lowest three deciles of California's Academic Performance Index.
Miracle Flights for Kids ($15,000) Funds will support free access for children suffering from cardiovascular disease to medical facilities throughout the U.S. through the purchase of airline tickets and by coordinating the airline scheduling and commercial flight medical clearance requirements.
National Multiple Sclerosis Society - Salt Lake City, UT “MS 150” ($2,000) Funds will support the Salt Lake City, UT Society’s fundraising efforts for multiple sclerosis research.
National Police Rodeo Association “Police Rodeo” ($500) Funds will support the Sixth Annual Police Rodeo by providing 100 show tickets to underprivileged children. Proceeds benefit the Special Olympics of Orange County.
netz 4 Life “Leave No Rim Netless Park Revitalization Campaign" ($5,000) Funds will support the revitalization of neglected community athletic infrastructure to facilitate educational and leadership building programs for disadvantaged youth in Santa Ana, California.
OC Marathon “Kids Run the OC" ($500) Funds will support a comprehensive running and nutrition program for Orange County youth.

Medical College of Virginia Foundation “Multi-Island Outreach for Cardiac Screening for Congenital and Rheumatic Fever and Rheumatic Heart Disease (RF/RHD)” ($25,000) Funds will support screening and diagnostic services by portable cardiac diagnostic technology to the children of St. Vincent and St. Lucia. Children diagnosed with rheumatic fever will be prioritized for surgical intervention through partner hospitals.
Memorial Hermann Foundation “Memorial Family Medicine Residency/Communication of Cardiac Risk to Underserved Women” ($25,000) Funds will support a program in Houston, Texas to study 120 underserved women aged 35 to 74 who are identified as high-risk for cardiovascular disease. Patients gain insights into their risk for heart disease, and use this knowledge to modify their behavior.
Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation “Girls and Moms on the Move” ($25,000) Funds will support a comprehensive six-part workshop in Minneapolis, Minnesota for young girls and their mothers on the value of a heart healthy lifestyle focusing on preventing obesity, healthier food choices and development of a positive body image.
National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease “National Leadership Program” ($25,000) This grant will support the Science & Leadership Symposium at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, which trains patient-volunteers from across the county to conduct heart disease education and outreach in the communities where they live.
National Kidney Foundation (NKF) Serving the National Capital Area (NCA) “Chronic Care Initiative” ($25,000) Funds will support a program to screen, educate and provide education to high-risk minority populations in the mid-Atlantic region. The NKF/NCA will test participants through free community health screenings and will host patient education seminars.
Newark Beth Israel Medical Center “6th Annual Saint Barnabas Health Care System Cardiovascular Symposium” ($5,000) Funds will support a one-day independent medical education cardiovascular symposium in New Jersey for cardiologists and other healthcare professionals who treat patients with cardiovascular disease, including risk management of diabetes and other related conditions.
New York-Presbyterian Hospital “Free Community Cardiovascular Health Screening” ($25,000) Funds will support multiple community-based free health screening events in New York, which aim to connect underserved populations to cardiovascular health promotion, disease prevention and primary care services.
OCTANe Foundation for Innovation “OCTANe Innovation Series” ($25,000) Funding will support educational programs focused on science and technology in Orange County, California.
OCTANe Foundation for Innovation “Science Education and Innovation Development” ($25,000) Funds will support education of 1,500 people at the Fourth Annual California Medical Device and Investor Forum in Southern California through six educational panel discussions and a dedicated cardiovascular track.
