The American Heart Association's Target: Aortic Stenosis initiative aims to improve the quality of care from diagnosis to treatment

Aortic stenosis is one of the most common and serious heart valve diseases, and many patients go undiagnosed and untreated. With these patients in mind, the American Heart Association launched Target: Aortic Stenosis in 2020 at 15 sites across the United States, with support from Edwards Lifesciences. The patient-centered initiative is dedicated to effective identification and appropriate treatment of aortic stenosis, a structural heart disease that can lead to heart failure and death.
