Technical Development Program

An 18-month, full-time rotational program for top engineering graduates
  • Where else can you play a significant role on a cross-functional global team to research and develop the next wave of advanced medical devices for cardiovascular disease...
  • Then, in your next rotation, supervise 20 production operators as they assemble the world’s most popular heart valves in a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant...
  • Then, work side-by-side with leading surgeons and clinicians in the field to develop the next generation of product opportunities for the global leader in technologies for cardiovascular disease...
  • AND do all of this within your first 18 months after graduating from college?
These opportunities (and more!) are here for you at Edwards.

Program Overview

The Edwards Lifesciences Technical Development Program (TDP) identifies and develops top university engineering talent. This program offers recent graduates with Bachelors or Masters of Science degrees in Engineering the opportunity to accelerate their career growth in the medical device industry through a rigorous, broad-based development process that centers around challenging work rotations and training opportunities. All in your first 18 months on the job.

Once-in-a-career Opportunity

The key to the TDP experience is the hands-on rotations coupled with structured training opportunities. Program participants have the opportunity to build a record of achievement early in their careers through the various experiences and development opportunities each rotation will offer. Developing the capabilities for leadership and technical excellence will be accelerated as you build skills and confidence working in a variety of departments, with a broad range of people. Because of the depth and breadth of their exposure and training, TDP Engineers can emerge from the program in high demand and extremely well-equipped to take on exciting new roles within Edwards.
